School Counselor
University of Louisiana at Monroe:
Member of American School Counselors Association
I am a licensed school counselor at Drew Elementary. My goal is to advocate and collaborate with staff and students to connect the counseing program to the school’s academic missions and improve the school experience for individual students.
My counseling style is Solution-Focused Therapy which focuses on finding solutions to current problems that overall improve present and future circumstances, but I use many differnt approaches depending on an individual’s needs. School counseling sessions typically last for 6-8 weeks unless there are special circumstances and outside referrals can be made if needed. If your child saw me last year, a new updated permission form will need to be signed for the new school year.
If you’re interested in enrolling your child into my services, you can pick up a permission slip from the office or ask their homeroom teacher to send one home.
I serve two elementary schools in Ouachita Parish. My contact information and daily schedule is listed.
Prior to counseling, I taught 4th grade.
